Fees and Expenses

Students are required to pay an enrolment fee (138 Euro currently per semester). Students are expected to cover their own living expenses, including housing, food, health insurance, study materials etc.

Cost of Living

The cost of living in Germany is comparatively high. Students should budget approximately 700 Euro per month. In addition to housing and food expenses, students should consider the following expenditures:

etc.

Housing

Rooms in the student's hostels on campus can be provided for the first year of the study programme. From the second year on students are responsible for finding an accomodation on the private market. Unfortunately the University of Hohenheim cannot guarantee housing in dormitories for the entire period of the study programme. Rent for a room in the dormitory is about 210 to 280 Euro per month.
